Amani is a self taught mixed media fine artists. She is inspired by nature, women/femmes, leisure, Blackness, pleasure, queer love and lives, world travel and hedonism.

“When I think of Black people, I think of my ancestors and their want and need for leisure, Blackness is inherently detached from the machinations of the European diaspora, so, in turn, I think of our need to make and create things for ourselves about ourselves and that is the heart of my work.”
